The Lagotto Romagnolo combines many traits that make it ideal for truffle hunting: size, stout build, stamina, finding ability, elimination of instinct for the chase, precocity and ease of training. It is the only pure breed that combines these traits, and is selected especially for this work.
Through selection and appropriate training, we are aiming to improve these traits to the maximum, so as to obtain dogs keen and successful in the search and passionate for truffles. Our commitment in this direction is demonstrated by the results achieved in working tests.
